📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Position: Intake Coordinator Location: Melbourne, FLPay: $20-24/hrHours: 10am-7pm 8+ month contract

The Customer Service and Intake Specialist is responsible for processing and assigning inbound faxes, accepting and conducting outgoing communications with callers, and data entry into the record system.

Responsibilities:Maintain expertise and up to date knowledge of customer service policies, procedures, business rules, and related operationsEnsure accurate data entry into the record systemFollow strict business rules for handling various inquiriesEnsure all questions, faxes, emails and calls are responded to and documented in a timely manner and triage inquiries appropriatelyEnsure accurate reporting of calls and activities to managementEscalate issues as per established escalation protocolsProvide information and data to management in a timely and complete mannerEnsure all department records are current, accurate, and well maintainedEffectively utilize company software and tools for coordination of customer serviceFollow code of conduct, policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and any other business rules applicable. Report any instances of misconduct or non-compliance with policies and proceduresComplete assigned training and education requirementsCommunicate and collaborate professionally with team members and clientsAll other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)2+ years of experience in a healthcare customer service/support functionDemonstrated strong work-ethic and commitment to providing exceptional support and services to all key stakeholdersDemonstrated excellence in customer service in a call center environmentGeneral knowledge of insurance plansEssential telephone and electronic communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work as a team member with a focus on exceeding customer/client expectationsProblem solving skillsAbility to handle challenges in a professional mannerSelf-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative to work independentlyStrong interpersonal communication, time-management, organization and relationship building skillsAbility to work flexible schedule if necessaryProficiency with MS Office Suite and internet applications
