Position: ControllerLocation: New York, NY (Hybrid)Salary: 140k – 160k
Established Real Estate firm seeks a Controller to lead their Team.
RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise Accounting department staff of seven individuals (including A/R, A/P, Lease administration, Payroll, Accounting, and admin)Prepare all information required by outside accountants for year-end reportingCalculate and issue Capital Calls and Distributions to PartnersProperty closings (financial calculations, closing adjustments, partner capital). Tenant arrears analysis and resolution. Review financial statements prepared by potential tenantsCash management for propertiesReview property accounting reports on monthly basis. Review property budgets and projections prepared for outsiders (banks, partners and appraisers) and internal staff. Tenant arrears / financial lease issuesBank financial reportingReal estate tax appeal coordination and tax analysis issuesMaintain corporate booksProcess corporate payroll
QUALIFICATIONSBBA in Accounting or FinanceCPA a plusMust have 10+ years Related ExperienceMust have managedCommercial Real Estate knowledge is mandatoryAdvanced Excel skill desiredMDS Real Estate software a plus
