Construction Manager (Piping Manager)

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to thoroughly understand project requirements and objectives. Work Planning: Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and budgets for pipefitting projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Change Order Management: Effectively manage change orders related to piping projects, including evaluating changes, documenting alterations, and addressing the impact on project timelines and budgets. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and manpower to meet project timelines, making the most of the available workforce. Team Leadership: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing clear instructions and guidance. Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, offering feedback and implementing corrective measures as needed. Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Safety Training: Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe work environment. Quality Assurance: Ensure that pipefitting work is performed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with project specifications and industry codes. Quality Inspections: Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to identify and rectify any issues. Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment for the projects. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management, maintaining adequate stock levels and minimizing waste. Hands-On Participation: Supervise and actively participate in the installation, assembly, and repair of piping systems, including cutting, threading, welding, and brazing. Technical Guidance: Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to guide the team effectively. Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during project execution, proposing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. Communication: Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones effectively, keeping all stakeholders informed. Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including work progress, materials used, and any changes to the project scope. Documentation: Prepare reports and documentation required for project completion and client deliverables.

Requirements:Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering strongly preferred.5-10 years of experience running and managing industrial piping/welding construction projects. Experience supervising job site personnel, demonstrating the ability to lead, teach, and coach the team effectively. Experience using BIM Viewing technology. Experience using AutoCAD and reading/interpreting printed blueprint documents. Proficiency in completing required documentation electronically. OSHA 10 & 30 certifications.
