AMX Logistics is seeking a self-driven individual who thrives in highly competitive environment and can maintain a winning spirit.
The Capacity Representative is responsible for ensuring that procured freight is properly matched to qualified carriers while providing best-in-class service to internal and external customers. Supervisory Responsibilities:None. Duties/Responsibilities:Facilitates delivery of freight. Schedules and negotiates transportation of freight with qualified carriers. Proactively notifies AMX account managers of the arrival of the carrier to the shipper & consignee, to ensure high visibility to the customer. (They do not arrange appointments at the pickup or delivery)Traces and locates lost shipments when necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Sell our business model and help recruit an ideal carrier that meets our partnership terms. Provide a best-in-class level of customer service to internal and external customers and contract carriers. Work with our fleet load planners to locate ideal freight for our company drivers. Support our brokerage team by matching available trucks to available customer freight. Track and trace carrier performance through automated processes to ensure real time tracking.
Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills. Basic understanding of standards for shipping and freight. Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow instructions. Proficient with computer-based shipping databases. Excellent time management skills.
