Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Lab/Assembly Technician to support one of our Automotive clients!!!
Job Title: Lab Technician Location: San Francisco, CA Schedule: 8am - 5pm Duration: 6 month W2 contract, potential for extensions
We need an Lab Technician who will help keep the lab clean, organized, and safe. This person can perform under the microscope modifications for circuit board assemblies such as component rework, soldering and de-soldering of components. Wire harness support including material sourcing, assembly, documentation, and inventory management. This role requires you to be able to read electrical schematics, assembly, and test instructions. What you’ll be doing: Perform printed circuit board assembly modifications such as component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, etc. Wire harness support including material sourcing, assembly, documentation, and inventory management Direct hands-on approach: proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed Ensure lab is clean, organized, and safe and that equipment and tools are available and calibrated and preventively maintained What you must have: 5+ years of experience with soldering, handling lab equipment & board reworkExperience reading electrical schematics and use manufacturers’ product data sheetsExperience with assembling prototypes and wire harnesses to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and componentsHigh level of interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides Bonus Points!Jira Kanban & Smartsheet board task management and tracking Experience using electronics measurement equipment and recording test resultsDegree or Certificate in Electronics Electrical Engineering (or related field)
