📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, an American multinational technology company engaged in e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence, is seeking a CAD Technician to join their Boston team for a 9-month contract, 40 hours a week. This individual will create detailed drawings of equipment, work areas, and material handling components based on current examples and design support for future initiatives. In some instances, drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views and corresponding elevation views. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with minimal direction and create drawing sets that satisfy the need to standardize workspaces and designs across an extensive network of fulfillment operations.
Basic Qualifications• Minimum 5 years of operating experience in CAD with the ability to work and manage layers• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design• Minimum of 1 year experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment• Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems
Preferred Qualifications• Conveyor design and layout experience• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree• Ability to communicate to various audiences• Ability to lead small groups The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $38.77 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
