AP Data Entry Associate

Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a Data Entry Associate to join the team of our client, a global ecommerce company based in Manhattan.

The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with large volumes of manual work, and the ability to communicate effectively across different departments.

This role offers an opportunity to support senior-level employees with various tasks including data extraction, data entry, and financial processing.

Top Keys

College degree preferred, particularly in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS, with the ability to complete an Excel assessment. Experience with large volumes of manual work. Basic understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP and QuickBooks, is advantageous. Strong communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally. Entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, and quick learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review bills and perform data entry into spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents and data, obtaining missing or correct information when necessary.
• Collaborate with other functional teams to maintain data quality and consistency.
• Support Inventory, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams with data entry and accuracy.
• Communicate errors encountered during data entry to relevant parties.
• Perform photocopying and scanning of documents as needed.
• Provide ad hoc clerical assistance to the accounting department.

Additional Notes

This role involves supporting senior-level employees in tasks such as extracting reports from databases, entering data into Excel, scrubbing data, and inputting it into financial systems like SAP or QuickBooks. Responsibilities may also include processing customer refunds, payments, wire payments, ACH payments, and bank reconciliations.
