📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:Beacon Hill is partnered with a local non-profit organization to aid in the search for their next Controller. This position will report directly to the CFO. The Controller will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving all financial statements and month-end entries for accuracy and timely distribution to management. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and has demonstrated leadership / managerial experience. Responsibilities:Ensure accounts, ledgers, and reports comply with GAAP and regulatory requirementsOversee all month-end entries and financial statementsMonitor financial performance and keep CFO informed of any changesMaintain internal control and safeguards for receipts, payments, fixed assets, and recording transactionsSupport the annual budget process and participate in review meetingsServe as the primary point of contact with outside auditors to coordinate audit activityRecommend and implement improvements for accounting proccesses to increase efficiency and accuracyProvide guidance to stakeholders on finance and accounting best practicesSupport effective program implementation
