Job Summary: As Payroll Specialist reporting to the Controller, you'll manage biweekly payroll for 800 employees. Your responsibilities include processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, handling deductions, preparing reports, and supporting the Finance team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Process accurate and timely payrolls. Input time worked and review payroll documentation for accuracy. Manage employee changes and inquiries regarding payroll matters. Collaborate with Accounting, HR, and Operations. Provide quality customer service to employees. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws. Assist with month-end activities and audits. Reconcile payroll earnings and prepare reports. Conduct year-end processing and W-2 distribution. Prepare reports for annual audits and maintain payroll policies. Experience:10-15 years in electronic payroll systems. Preferably a BA/BS degree or Payroll Certification. Required Skills:Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficient in multi-state payroll tax. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain confidentiality. Advanced Excel skills. Non-profit agency experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Team player with strong computer skills.
