Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Enterprise Data

The role

The Enterprise Data Quality Assurance team is responsible for creating and maintaining testing frameworks that automate test plans used to ensure that Enterprise Data Real Time products are of high quality before launch. We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with programming/coding skills to help us develop automated testing tools and frameworks using the Bloomberg API. The team works with Product/Business teams and Engineering to:

Create test strategiesIdentify and document defectsIdentify and remove bottlenecks preventing the agile delivery of releasesDrive continuous improvements of testing tools and processesResearch solutions to address client needs

Strong attention to details and dedication to efficiently work problems to resolutionUtilizes judgment, and collaboration skills to interact positively and communicate appropriately with team members, management and other stake holdersBe able to do a thorough unit and regression testingAbility to quickly learn new concepts and industry trendsDisplays a positive 'can do' attitude when troubleshooting or problem solvingBe able to prioritize and ensure projects complete on time (no need to push comp date for QA reasons)Be proactive, rather than passive and reactiveIdentify risks and escalate appropriately to key stakeholdersProduce high quality documentation of test execution

You'll need to have:

Familiarity with one or more of the following languages: C++, C#Experience with .NET CoreKnowledge of financial markets and asset classesUnderstanding of agile QA concepts, practices, processes and toolsDemonstrable experience with developing automation of QA functionalityExperience working in Linux and Windows environmentsStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExemplary presentation, training and communication skills in EnglishLegal authorization to work full-time in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future

We'd love to see:

2+ years experience in a software QA role with automated test tools Experience testing or using an API to build solutions & familiarity with the Bloomberg APIKnowledge of market data systemsExperience with PostgreSQLWeb development and testing tools acumenKnowledge of cloud computing services: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud PlatformExperience with technology such as Git, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Jupyter Notebooks, JavaScript and Node.jsPlease note we use years of experience as a guide, but we will certainly consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills vital for the role.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

Salary Range: 120,000 - 170,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
