Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Quality Engineer (level 3) to join our Fabrication Core team in Puyallup, Washington.

Position Responsibilities

Represents Fabrication Core Quality Engineering function on cross functional team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements, develop & implement Conformance systems that ensures each product and article meets its approved PDD requirements. Champion root cause corrective actions, identify robust corrective actions and ensure implementation and effectiveness through analysis of non conformance and escapes trends. Benchmark Industry Standards and best practices, to improve and or develop new processes to enhance Fabrication Quality Management System health. Perform Risk Assessments, Advanced Product Quality Planning, Measurement System Analysis, that ensures effectiveness of Inspection and Tests methods. Perform Manufacturing process capability assessments, process reviews and validations, to ensure compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements and assist with process optimization using Design of Experiments (DoEs) and other Statistical Process Control tools. Lead the Introduction & implementation of Latest Inspection Technologies at Manufacturing Business Units. Support Manufacturing Business Unit Quality Engineering overflow statement of work e.g. annual review of statistical plans, First Article Inspections (FAI's), Inspection Records Change Request (IRCRs) etc. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Use Quality tools and data to drive decisions in daily day to day activity. Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Puyallup, Washington.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field3+ years of experience with problem-solving3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issueDemonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approachesWorking knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) elements

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $94,350 - $127,650
