Job Description And Duties

Do you have a desire to help clean up waste and help protect the health and well-being of California's people through recycling? Do you possess strong analytical skills and a passion to implement new programs? Do you enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders and customers to protect California’s environment?

CalRecycle is looking for a strong analyst who is self-motivated, creative, and customer focused to conduct the most difficult and complex analytical and technical work related to the implementation of the Plastic Minimum Content Standards established pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 793 requirements. AB 793 requires the use of post-consumer in the production of plastic beverage containers subject to CRV. The incumbent will work with stakeholders and management to ensure that the requirements of AB 793 are achieved.

The incumbent may be required to independently travel overnight to program sites and events.

This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
