📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer at our Columbus, IN location. The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality assurance system by coordinating and investigating problems with the product and processes and recommending or implementing corrective actions. To lead, coordinate customer complaints and drive timely disposition, to improve customer and vendor satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have quality assurance experience in a manufacturing facility with QS/ISO certification and experience with Tier 1 automotive.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Lead corrective action by using a variety of analytical and statistical toolsDevelop, implement, monitor, and control QA system to assure product quality based on customer and product specificationsInterface with customers and suppliers to resolve quality problemsDevelop, motivate, and train qualified personnel to QA standardsSolve internal and external quality problemsProvide customer complaint summary and trends to all personnelImprove QA system procedures and instructionsTrain personnel in QA procedures and instructionsMonitor cost of quality, reduce waste and non-value-added activityLayout and use of measuring tools. Audit our QA systemOther duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceQS/ISO 9000 auditor trainedSPC, DOE, TOPS, APQP, PPAP, QFDLayout and GD&T

Effective communicationsAnalytical problem solverDiplomaticPC software, word processing and spreadsheets
