📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Position ObjectiveThe Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating including execution of project strategy, pre‐construction, competitive bids, negotiated project proposals, budgets, value engineering, and subcontractor relations from initial budget request through, subcontractor awards. The Estimator reports directly to the Vice President/Estimating & Pre‐Construction.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding processResolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationObtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experienceSolid understanding of basic accounting principlesFamiliarity with blueprints and ability to read plans1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred
