Commio is hiring for a Corporate Controller to provide support to our CEO and CFO. Location preference is in the Raleigh, NC area, but other areas will be considered based on candidate and experience. Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities include but not limited to:
Overseeing and producing the monthly financials of the businessAnalyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAPDirecting a team of two staff accountantsEstablishing and monitoring internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are consistent, and in accordance with established GAAP, legal, regulatory and company policies and proceduresAssist with managing the budgeting process, setting targets and deadlinesOversee billing and collection processesProviding strategic analysis to the CEO, CFO, President, and corporate finance as required to drive improved decision-makingWork with CFO to update and formulate accounting policies, procedures, and controls as necessaryCoordinate the annual audit, annual tax return filings and monthly regulatory reporting with external auditors and tax accountantsEnsure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and manage tax filings and relationship with third partyManage HR function including payroll, benefits, employee issues
Qualifications
Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation preferred but not requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required10+ years of experience working in a corporate settingCPaaS experience preferredUnderstanding of federal and state tax compliance requirementsExtensive experience in all aspects of corporate accounting and financial managementKnowledge of budget preparation and analysis techniquesAdvanced knowledge of MS Office and ExcelManagement experience, with the ability to train and develop high-performing teamsCritical thinking skills and the ability to make decisionsExcellent leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
