Creation Technologies seeks a Material Specialist to join its team in our Dallas, TX, or Rochester, NY, locations. This is a hybrid role that requires sitting on-site several days per week. The position will support our Product Cost Engineering department. This team supports our Customer and Business Development teams in bringing in new business. Currently, we are looking for a talented, driven, and qualified individual to be responsible for materials cost estimation through direct engagement with our Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be a problem solver with an exceptional customer service attitude, a proven ability to negotiate, and prefer working in an engaged, collaborative team environment. Experience in sourcing and/or procurement is an asset; basic knowledge and experience with electronics, Fabricated items, and/or PCB is considered vital.

Material quoting and costing for customer proposals. Application of tools and direct communication with the supply base to quote components. Development, review, and release of quote documents; presentation of quote packages to internal customers. Regular communication with internal customers (Business Development, Program Managers), stakeholders (engineering, supply chain, finance), Creation suppliers & external customers. Work closely with and communicate with Creation’s supply chain team and the supply base. The role may include other tasks such as supplier negotiation, commodity analysis, training support, tools development, or database administration.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in material procurement, sourcing, and/or cost estimating, and/or a relevant mix of experience and post-secondary education. Experience in Aerospace and Defense, business, and material costing is preferred. Experience with material costing tools, such as QuoteWin, is preferred. Excellent customer service attitude and practical organizational skills; ability to prioritize work in response to multiple, fluid deadlines. High proficiency with MS Office programs, especially Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, etc., is desirable. Strong verbal and written English communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders (suppliers, customers, and other internal teams).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $65,000.00- $75,000.00 annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but limited to experience, education, location, and shift. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and hours worked.
