Commercial Assembler - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Assembler - 2nd Shift in Sherman, TX. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $18.87 per hour plus an additional $.60 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What You’ll Do

Job Functions

Affix a variety of sub-assemblies to the inside of enclosures and commercial products following print layouts, and verbal and written instructions. Use pneumatic and manual hand tools to secure the component parts as appropriate. Label enclosures with appropriate product information. Check the quality of assembled parts and finished enclosures. Lift finished enclosures into boxes for shipment, cuts, forms, and tape boxes for appropriate sizing using hand tools. Palletize boxes. Perform first article inspections. Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment Assembly or subassembly experience in a production environment Experience reading blueprints and using simple measuring tools

Position Criteria

Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending with or without accommodation Ability to stand for eight hours plus while performing repetitious tasks with or without accommodation Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools Ability to follow directions, and work independently with a focus on details. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as required by business needs
