Associate Sample Prep Technician

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare material specimens for testingPerform tests as directed by customer specificationsOperate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department ManagerGather and record test dataConstruct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment

Skills / Qualifications

Working knowledge of laboratory safetyHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed0-2 years’ experience in a testing related fieldBasic understanding of testing conceptsPossess computer skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Physical Demands

Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate). Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasionAbility to stand on feet for long periods of timeAbility to lift 50+lbs periodically
