Interior Design Assistant
Elms Interior Design is a vibrant high-end residential design firm located in the South End of Boston. We are looking for a Design Assistant position to join our amazing team! This role provides support to the Principal and Project Managers to increase productivity and help meet our client’s expectations. The right person for this role is someone who is highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced creative environment.
The role of Design Assistant entails being a quick learner while pivoting throughout the day on multiple projects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, take direction well, manage a fluid workload and be able to clearly communicate with the rest of the team. The Design Assistant will need to maintain a sense of urgency, follow direction and strive for excellence. A high level of attention to detail is required. The Design Assistant will also participate in all areas of the project process from vendor correspondence, construction drawings, updating schedules and order tracking. In addition to supporting the Project Managers, the Design Assistant will have other tasks from administrative work to sample library and office organization. A strong knowledge of Auto CAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop is required.
