Position: Mental Health Assessment Specialist
Unit: Assessment and Referral , Behavioral Health
Location: 901 Kirchhoff Rd. ,Arlington Heights ( on hospital Campus)
Hours: 7am-730pm / Every other weekend / on call once every 4 weeks.
Shift: Day shift
Part time/Full Time: Full Time- 36 hours per week
What You Will Need
LSW, LPC, or Registered Nurse required. LCSW, LCPC or Psy. D preferredMinimum of two years recent experience in a crisis/emergency services behavioral health setting required. Current CPR certification from American Association. Knowledge of DSM5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), ICD-10, and behavioral health medical necessity guidelines. Thorough knowledge of the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code.
General Summary
Reporting to the Behavior Health Manager of Intake Services, performs mental health assessments for hospital patients and customers. Performs comprehensive clinical assessments and completes pre-certifications for insurance companies and required admission documentation. Provides treatment referrals that are consistent with the customer’s medical and psychiatric status and symptoms
