Your Role The Cloud Security Engineer will play a crucial role on a small team with hands-on responsibilities for our AWS cloud infrastructure (70%), and for managing and documenting our security controls (30%). Technologies include: AWS Networking, EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, Linux, Lambda, Step Functions, Docker. The keys to success in this role include: an absolute dedication to security; a strong sense of ownership; and creative problem solving.
What You'll DoPrioritize security and data confidentialityDesign and maintain cloud infrastructureManage vulnerability patchingPlan a roadmap that meets company goals in security and availabilityFulfill IT requests for employees and clientsLead security evaluations including regular firewall reviewsDesign and test disaster recovery processesRespond to client security questionnairesDocument network architecture, processes, and security controlsCollaborate with a team of results-oriented developersEnjoy the flexibility of working remotely from Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, or Texas
We're Looking ForIndependent creative problem solvingA background in high-responsibility positions supporting cloud infrastructure, 5+ years of experienceDeep experience managing AWS infrastructure: advanced networking; Python scripting in Lambdas/Step FunctionsSolid ability to configure and maintain and patch Linux systemsExperience with SOC 2 audits or equivalent, security documentation, security questionnairesBonus for experience with: Docker, SQL, RailsA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field is preferredDirect hire only
