📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Flowtec is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a dynamic team of engineers in developing/programming automation solutions. This is a management role that includes direct programming/project responsibility.
Responsibilities:of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Smart Relays, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).control panels to meet UL508A / CSA 22.2 standards meeting NEC codesto read and analyze project plans and specifications and create submittals including and identifying any exceptionsguidance for both internal and external electrical concept and final design reviewsdocumentation of both hardware and PLC and HMI programming per customer specifications/requirementsand report costs to assist project manager in meeting budget requirementsto project changes and supplier issues quickly with alternative components and design modifications to maintain project timelinesdiscussions with project stake holders regarding quality issues and schedule forecasts
Qualifications:years of experience in industrial controlsyears of leadership experienceto develop control specifications from a sequence of operationswith VFDs commissioning and communications; ABB and Mitsubishi preferredwith HMI and PLC (ladder logic) programming; Siemens and Allen Bradly preferredin NEC and UL code as pertains to electrical panelsindustry experience highly preferred
