Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinate Export/Import shipments from origin, shipper, truckers, steamship lines and airlinesArrange pickup and delivery for inland transportationTrack the shipment to ensure it has reached the final destinationVerifies shipment weight and volumesCalculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and ratesResponsible for audit compliance with FMC regulationsObtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportationEnsure SOP and tariff compliance along with best practices and efficienciesSupports local sales efforts with timely responses to emails and rate requestsMaintain communications with the customers, carries and vendorsResponsible for filling Pre alerts and ISF’sHandles the full process from A-ZHandling and resolving Import troubleshooting issuesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:2+ years in the Freight Forwarding industry2+ years in an Import positionAbility to communicate and provide great customer serviceBeing able to work independently and part of a teamKnowledge of local and international carriers and routesAble to cope under pressure and meet deadlinesGreat organizational skillsOutgoing and forward-thinking mindsetAbility to navigate and work efficiently using IT softwareDesired Qualifications:DG, Hazmat or TSA CertificationCargoWiseAbility to commute to workFlexible attitude towards workHigh School Diploma or Bachelor’s
