MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, knowledge of Mental Health or Social Services, and at least two years experience in budgeting skills. Hands on experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (in order of importance; for example, but not limited to
Learns accounting and computer system, payee process, rules and regulations governing the program. Collaborates with care manager to assist in budget plan. Maintains a professional relationship with Social Security and other community resources. Payee day to day in accordance with policy and procedure:Facilitates client intake process. Establishes bank account for client. Establishes a budget, discretionary spending and savings for client. Has discretionary spending checks ready for applicable clients based on their budget. Reconcile bank statements and accounts in RPM.Reviews budget plan with client and/or CM annually or when the budget changes. Assist with managing the Benefits Specialist mailboxTrack and monitor Medicaid approvals and denialsCollaborate with JFS, SSA and other community partnersAssist with Medicaid renewals, as needed
