Manufacturing company in Arcade, NY is hiring a CAD Designer to use 3D modeling software to create product drawings and provides engineering support to internal customers in sales and operations.
- Primary Job Duties:Design manufacturing drawings using 3D modeling software based off customer designs, drawings or specifications.
- Create Bill of Materials and Machine Routers for fabricated and assembled products.
- Assist and coordinate with engineers, sales, production planning and manufacturing.
- Provide general engineering support for internal customers using a help ticket system.
- Identify, recommend, and/or draft product design improvements.
- Support new product development and design.
- Provide engineering expertise for company goals and projects.
- Oversee and/or perform product qualification and performance testing.
- Position may include other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or management.
Primary Competencies:Proficient with 3D modeling software and proper industry drawing conventions, preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, video meetings and ERPs.
Qualifications:Associate’s degree in Engineering/Drafting or equivalent experience. One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of pipes, valves and fittings preferred
