Software Developer - Ruby on Rails

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in American Fork, UT.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality.
• Work with GraphQL, JavaScript, SASS, html components, and slim templates to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
• Develop and implement new features and functionalities.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to optimize performance.
• Work with Git, Jira, and Bitbucket for version control and project management.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related technical fieldMinimum 3 years of experience as a Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, GraphQL, SASS, HTML components, and slim templates. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience with Git, Jira, and Bitbucket for version control and project management. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication skills.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
