Job description:The Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician is responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining GIS databases, coverages, layers, and linkages to various databases. Duties include reading and interpreting source documents such as civil engineering plans, plot maps, and legal descriptions; and entering required data into the GIS using Global Positioning systems (GPS), AutoCAD, and GIS software. The GIS Technician creates maps, performs general analysis, and assists other City departments in utilizing GIS applicational. Skills:ArcGIS Pro 3.1, ArcGIS Server10.6, AGO, Portal, ArcPy, Model Builder, Survey 123, Experience Builder Programming Skills: Python, JavaScript, C#.net, React DataBases: ArcSDE, MS-SQL Server 2019, MS Access, Postgres, Oracle Operating Systems: Windows 10, MS-DOS, UNIX, Linux UX/UI Design Tools: JSON, HTML, XML, CSS, DOJO, Jira MS-Suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio 2013, PowerPoint, and MS Access Experience required:Minimum of two years of experience in a related field Education required:Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
