Position: Mechanical EngineerPR: $40Location: Sanford NCDuration: 24 monthsStart Date: 5/13Shift: Onsite 6:30am - 4:00pm Musts:5-7 years engineering experienceBachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred3D Modeling (Creo preferred)Experience with GD&T (global dimension and tolerancing)Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysisMicrosoft experience (PPT, Word, Excel)Good Communication skills (verbal and written)Time management skillsExperience with design work and drawings related to a product of sort (does not have to be construction) Plusses: Experience in a factory environment/factory supportAbility to individually maintain project status/individually manage projects Day to Day:The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints. This is more of a design engineering role looking at the product to make sure it is at its highest qualityResponding to calls on the line and investigating if it is being assembled correctly or need to adjust the design to correctTaking the design changes and trialing it working with procurement team and technicians and validation engineering teamAt the end they have to take the updated item design and releasing it to the system Job Responsibilities:• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew. • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software. Skills:• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. • Team player and detail oriented. • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
