We are seeking a Building Materials Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Island Lumber!
You will coordinate in-store orders for various customer types, from homeowner to expert contractor. You will also provide assistance and advice throughout the purchasing process.
This job is full-time on Vashon Island, a beautiful place to live, and a short ferry ride from West Seattle, the Kitsap Peninsula, or Tacoma.
Responsibilities:Quote and fulfill building materials and services to in-store customers. Provide knowledge and advice to all customers. Communicate clearly with customers and associates throughout the store to ensure customer satisfaction. Purchase and coordinate incoming orders from vendors. Be a reliable and punctual team player. Be an inside resource for the Outside Sales representative. The primary job function is to provide great customer service.
Qualifications:Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields preferred. Familiarity with lumber and building materials. Ability to build rapport with clients. Strong people skills. Attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours a week, morning shift 7 to 4 or 8 to 5. Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Times and days could vary depending upon store needs.
Pay: $18.00 - $33.00 per hour commensurate upon experience. If the candidate has extensive experience in sales and purchasing of Lumber and Building Materials, pay can range between $60-$70k/year.
