Paralegal

IXL Learning, a leading EdTech company with products used by 15 million students worldwide, is seeking a Paralegal to join our team. In this role you will provide legal and administrative support to IXL’s General Counsel.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting a wide range of legal areas including but not limited to contracts, business transactions and mergers/acquisitions. You will be able to work independently in a fast paced environment and are well organized and highly detail-oriented. You are also adaptable, a skilled communicator and enjoy problem solving new challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

Build in-depth knowledge of company operations, policies/procedures and legal mattersSupport all aspects of company transactions, entity filings, business licensing and mergers & acquisitionsAssist with due diligence and post-closing integration and administration as neededEnsure compliance with multiple governmental agenciesPartner with IXL’s leaders on all vendor contracts, assisting with creation or review of contracts, and tracking expiration dates and other detailsFacilitate contract execution, liaising with insurance brokers to obtain proof of insurance and other supporting documents as neededReview and process legal bills to ensure appropriate allocationAssist with trademark and IP renewals and maintenance and collaborate with the IT team to process domain transfersCompose, prepare and maintain confidential correspondence, reports, memos and other documentation

What We're Looking For

BA/BS degreeParalegal certification is a plus5+ years of previous paralegal experience in a law firm or business environmentKnowledge of legal administrative procedures and practicesSelf-starter with strong problem solving skills who thrives in a fast paced environmentAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and projectsFamiliarity with document review process and contract managementHigh level of discretion and and sound judgmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $145,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
