Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing and managing all phases of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
- Assist PM in developing detailed project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to guarantee effective communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, costs, and issues.
- Assist in the development of construction procedures to guide construction staff and ensure project completion.
- Review project designs and contribute technical expertise in civil construction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in civil or heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on safety and cost estimation. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry. Proven ability to prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using construction management software and other relevant computer applications. Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems.
