Packaging Room (Offal) Team Member

1st Shift

Position Overview

The successful candidate will help with setup, pack offal products to target weight, move skids of product in and out of the freezer, and ensure proper safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities & Competencies

Be able to perform and rotate through several job functions in the department at line speedComply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), USDA regulations and safety rules at all timesEnsure products are accurately weighed, packaged, and labeled (products include ribs, loins, livers, hearts, tongues, etc.)Always verify and record temperatures to ensure superb quality Package and palletize product in accordance with established specificationsUtilize a PIV to move and stage palletsLearn and excel in all positions within the room, to facilitate teamwork and cross-trainingUtilize SAP for material movementsExcellent attendance and performance recordGood verbal communication skillsGood decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize work in relation to process flowAbility to communicate effectively with the team and work towards an end goal without direct supervisionProactive team player, dependable and detail oriented

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

Knife Skills preferred but not requiredSAP experience preferred, but not requiredFood Manufacturing experience, a plus

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up 50 lbs, and hand grip up to 60 lbs on a regular basisWalking and/or Standing throughout the shiftBending and/or Reaching throughout the shiftAbility/Willingness to work in cold conditions

Location: Watertown, WI

Starting Hourly Pay: $23.53

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (end time will vary depending on production needs)
