This position significantly contributes to our manufacturing of high quality waterproof wire connectors. This position is primarily responsible for the setup, operation, and product inspection on our spring coiling equipment.
Job Duties:Performs mechanical setup and operation of spring coiling equipmentInspection of springs using tools such as optical comparator, calipers, and pin gaugesFollow visual KanBans to maintain wire inventory and determine production prioritiesUse of various hand tools and machine toolsPerforms preventative maintenance tasks according to the preventative maintenance scheduleIdentify and assist in continuous improvement opportunities related to machine setupFollow safe work practices including PPE requirementsMaintain a clean work area including 5S standards
About You:Strong mechanical aptitudeProven ability to setup and troubleshoot cam operated equipmentMotivated and the ability to work with minimal supervisionWilling to work overtime when requiredAbility to bend, lift up to 75lbs and stand during assembly processAbility to communicate effectively both written and verballyRequired Experience:5+ Years experience performing in spring coiling in a manufacturing environmentHands on experience with mechanical spring coiling equipment or screw machinesMust be able to read and understand engineering drawingsMust be able to use material handling equipment including forklifts
