Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the materials management and purchasing activity in their facility. This position supports the Regional Procurement team in managing the material on order and supporting the sales team. This position prepares the employee for future advancement in the procurement department, as it will provide the necessary exposure to the fundamentals of procurement and inventory management.
Primary Responsibilities
Review aged inventory reports and coordinate activity with Purchasing and SalesMaintain monthly pricing adjustments for West regionTrack mill order confirmations and update for planning purposesExpedite mill orders, updating delivery dates and scheduling inbound mill receiptsSourcing and buying to fulfill short-term material requirementsOther related activities as needed
Qualifications
1+ years of administrative and clerical experience preferredBachelor's degree or Associate degree required; ideally Supply Chain, Data anExperience in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Excel skillsHigh degree of interest and proficiency in Data AnalyticsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation
Starting pay targeting between $50,000 - $65,000 Health Benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision for Full Time employeesPaid Holidays for Full Time EmployeesEmployee Bonus Program
