Materials Control Worker

High school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or picking and packing orders is preferredExperience with warehouse equipment such as a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack a plusKnowledge of inventory control and cycle countsBasic computer knowledge and data entry skillsStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. LabCorp is seeking a Material Control Worker to join our team in Burlington, NC. This position will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders of medical lab supplies and products.

The schedule for this position will be a First Shift Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Place orders for supplies from vendors via computer and telephoneLoad and unload supplies from trucks and verify packing slipsReceive and process stock into inventory management systemProcess orders from client offices and patient service centers via phone, fax and emailPrint requisition forms and barcode labels for internal and external clientsPack orders for shipment via various shipping methods such as Fed Ex & UPSResolve all customer concerns efficiently and timelyMaintain inventory control according to company standardsParticipate in scheduled cycle counts and full physical inventoryDeliver supplies to local branches, clients and patient service centers when needed
