Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist ILocation: Duarte CADuration: 3 Months
Position Overview:Prepares specimens for analysis; performs and reports waived, moderate, or high complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Performs all procedures in compliance with written SOPs and FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA and Joint Commission regulations. Assists in teaching students and staff. Works as authorized by the Laboratory Director under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section 493.1445(a). Prepares patients to see physician, facilitates lab tests and other physician orders as needed. Assists the Clinical Director with clinical duties and procedures as directed. Position specific to Microbiology. This worker will be reading cultures.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:1+ years of experience in microbiology reading cultures. Experience with AFB cultures a plus.
Minimum Education:Degree in microbiology or related clinical field. CLS Certification required.
Location:100% onsite at Duarte in Medical Center
Schedule:PM Shift. Candidates must be flexible as schedule is subject to change.
