Our Engineering and Inspection firm specializing in residential and commercial projects is seeking a Sr. Professional Engineer - Structural in Miami, FL. The Professional Engineer will assist with field visits and creating permit plan sets and must be able to give technical direction in onsite training and regarding design plans and assists when needed, with engineering drawings and AutoCAD. Sr. Professional Engineer (Structural)Direct HireMiami, FL Duties and Responsibilities:· Involves some field time to meet with clients to develop a Scope and Basis of Design along with collecting preliminary data for that design.· Willing to actively communicate with clients and co-workers via email and phone, responsible for maintaining their email and phone inbox.· Interacts with clients and other departments to navigate projects.· Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness, and responsiveness to client/co-worker requests.· Participates in weekly design meetings.· Expected to report to their Engineering Director, Operations Manager and Head Professional Engineer. Requirements/Skills:· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Structural or Civil)· 7+ years of work experience in Structural Design of Wood Frame Homes and Concrete Block Masonry Structures· 5+ years' experience in AutoCAD· Active Professional Engineering License for Florida· Ability to read and develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Willingness to sign/seal department documents Assets:· Knowledgeable about Florida's building codes and ADA accessibility· Highly motivated and responsible individual with strong work ethic· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Strong organizational skills· Ability to work in a close-team
