Senior Accountant

LHH, f.k.a. Parker+Lynch is partnering with a company in the Greater Twin Cities Area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their Corporate Accounting team. About the JobDrive monthly financial close process ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are complete within corporate timelinesMaintain the closing of financial systemsAssist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual operating budgetAssist Controller with any other duties/projects as assignedThe role will participate in the month end financial statement closing process and will prepare internal and external financial reports. Perform general accounting activities requiring general insight and depth of understanding. Specific tasks will include preparing journal entries, reconciling account balances, review of invoices for appropriate classification and other operational duties, as well as executing well‐defined steps in accounting analysis, forecasting and budgeting activities. Assist in preparation of internal and external financial statements; support external reporting process. Investigate accounts; understand and communicate causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.

QualificationsBachelor degree in Accounting/Finance3-6 years of experience preferredStrong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to present information in a meaningful & concise formatsStrong leadership skills with an ability to affect change through objective analysis and reasonHighly organized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and demandsStrong systems orientation to ensure maximizing current reporting systemsAdvanced proficiency level in MS Excel and PowerPoint
