Role Description

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Electrical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of electrical engineering, working closely with experienced professionals on real-world projects. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will have the chance to apply your academic knowledge to hands-on tasks, contributing to the development and implementation of cutting-edge electrical systems.

• This internship is expected to last a duration of 2-3 years as an Electrical Engineering Program is being completed. This role will operate part-time and on site in Spanish Fork, Utah.*

Responsibilities

Circuit Design and Analysis: Work on the design and analysis of electrical circuits using industry-standard tools. Collaborate with the engineering team to create schematics, layout designs, and conduct simulations to ensure optimal performance. Prototyping and Testing: Participate in the prototyping process, including assembling and testing electrical components and systems. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues to ensure the functionality and reliability of electrical designs. Embedded Systems Development: Contribute to the development of embedded systems for various applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into larger systems, ensuring seamless communication and functionality. Programming and Firmware Development: Gain hands-on experience in programming microcontrollers and developing firmware for embedded systems. Contribute to coding and debugging efforts to enhance the performance and functionality of electronic devices. Documentation: Create and maintain accurate and detailed documentation for electrical designs, including schematics, bill of materials (BOM), and testing procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and software engineering, to achieve integrated and cohesive solutions. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years remaining. Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and design. Basic knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++). Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and a strong interest in staying updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering.
