📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into target databases or data warehouses. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ETL workflows. Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data loading and processing times. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to perform data manipulation, validation, and cleansing tasks as part of the ETL processes. Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for automation of ETL workflows, job scheduling, and system maintenance tasks. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of ETL processes and data pipelines. Document technical designs, specifications, and procedures for ETL workflows, SQL scripts, and Unix Shell scripts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including database administrators, system administrators, and software developers to support and enhance data integration solutions. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter. Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, joins, subqueries, and data manipulation operations. Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting for automation and job scheduling tasks. Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL optimization techniques. Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational database management systems. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
