Description
JOB SUMMARY
This individual is responsible to plan and implement habilitative/rehabilitative programs for individuals who exhibit speech/language/swallowing problems.
Position Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology required
Experience: Must have demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one year CFY supervision is available for those with no experience
Special Skills And Competencies
Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is desirable. Special aptitudes include tact, understanding and compassion and ability to communicate well with other professionals, patients and their families, both verbal and written.
