Localization Program Manager

Languages are key to our mission of bringing the world closer together. The Meta family of products is currently available in 100+ languages and we are adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and ~90% are outside of North America. As a Localization Program Manager, you will partner with various stakeholders and the rest of internationalization teams to empower Meta products to feel local at a global scale.

Localization Program Manager Responsibilities

Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Legal, Product, Engineering, etc.) to launch successful localized products and contentsDesign and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and diverse content types across MetaGuide stakeholders across Meta to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient executionProactively identify and streamline technical and process issues that affect localized product relevancy, quality, and functionalityActively seek out opportunities to optimize the global user experience and influence adoptions of optimal solutionsPartner across internationalization to ensure the right resources are in place and all deliveries are completed at the expected standards

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in localization, or equivalent project management or program management experienceExperience communicating and driving results with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international officesExperience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisionsSkilled in building and optimizing complex workflowsTrack record of staying focused, prioritizing and creating structure across large, ambiguous programs and setting goals for long-term initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of additional languages other than EnglishExperience managing various content types, including Legal contentExperience working with localization vendors and law firms offering outside counselExposure to SQL, analytics tools, or a coding languageThorough understanding of translation technologies like translation memories, machine translation, and CAT toolsFamiliarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDRKnowledge of AI technologies and potential application in localization workflows
