Primary Purpose Of Position
Responsible for learning the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Load and unload equipmentErect and dismantle scaffolding (5x7x16) and stagingLevel ground for scaffoldingTend mortar and groutLift, unload, move, set and shovel mortar and grout between wheel barrows and bucketsGeneral cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing and loading or burning of debrisPlace, push, pull and shovel concreteVibrate concreteEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsAll other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to work with tools and equipment, such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggiesStrong teamwork orientationSome ability to read plansPositive attitude and professional customer service skillsDetail orientationActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Education And Experience Requirements
Enrolled in Apprenticeship Aptitude ProgramExperience in construction preferred
