📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Location: Plainview, NY (local travel to client sites, but not in your own vehicle) Pay rate range = $20-25 (based on experience)
Experienced Access Control and Security InstallersOur client is seeking experienced Access Control and Security Installers to join their team. Responsibilities include installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and verifying the functions of access control, CCTV, and digital recorder systems. This role involves installing, running, and pulling cabling (CAT 6) and wiring, as well as mounting equipment for systems.
Essential Job Duties:Installing, terminating, and/or programming end devices for access control, CCTV, and security infrastructure, such as card/badge readers, motion detectors, glass breakers, mag locks, and cameras. Assisting in verifying Access Control/CCTV functions by testing equipment, programming, connections, and signals, and identifying and correcting problems to ensure the system is fully operational before leaving the site. Performing access control system installation, maintenance, and repairs. Installing new or modifying existing door hardware, including locks, as needed. Performing system programming and integration with burglar alarm, fire alarm, and camera systems. Providing operation training and answering questions while maintaining a professional and courteous customer relationship.
Experience and Job Requirements:Working knowledge of installing and troubleshooting CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems. Familiarity with AC/DC electronic theory, IP network, and analog PTZ and fixed cameras. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks for PC systems and CCTV equipment. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and prints. Proficiency in using test equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meter, decibel meters, and communicating devices. Ability to carry and climb a ladder. Must own basic hand tools. Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to interact with customers. Must have a clean, valid driver’s license.
