Job Title: Cloud Software Engineer Building APIs - AWS (Python/Node.js)Job Description:We are looking for a skilled Cloud Software Engineer who specializes in building APIs on the AWS platform using either Python or Node.js. As a member of our talented engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs to support our cloud-based applications and services. Responsibilities:API Design and Development: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance APIs on the AWS platform using best practices and industry standards. AWS Integration: Utilize AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and others to build scalable and resilient cloud-based APIs. Programming Language Expertise: Develop APIs using either Python or Node.js, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability. Microservices Architecture: Architect and implement API solutions following microservices principles for modularity, scalability, and flexibility. Security and Authentication: Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and AWS IAM to ensure the security of APIs and data transmitted over the network. Monitoring and Logging: Implement logging and monitoring solutions to track API performance, diagnose issues, and ensure reliability. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and delivery of API updates. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, including usage guides, API specifications, and code documentation. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with frontend developers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate APIs into applications seamlessly. Requirements:Experience: X years of experience working as a Software Engineer, with a focus on building APIs and cloud-based applications. AWS Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and others. Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in either Python or Node.js for API development, with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming concepts (if using Node.js). RESTful API Design: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including API versioning, error handling, and pagination. Database Skills: Familiarity with database systems such as DynamoDB, RDS, or other NoSQL and SQL databases commonly used in cloud environments. Security Awareness: Knowledge of API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques. CI/CD Experience: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline for automated testing and deployment. Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and code reviews. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
