Role Description
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient SQL solutions.
- Design and implement database structures and schemas to support application requirements while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
- Create and maintain documentation for database schemas, data flows, and SQL processes.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making processes.
- Work closely with database administrators to ensure database security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Stay updated on emerging SQL technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer, with proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL databases. Experience with database design, normalization, indexing, and performance optimization techniques. Familiarity with ETL processes and tools like SSIS, Informatica, or Talend. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
