Turning Point Alternative Living Solutions (TPals) is currently looking to add a Substance Abuse counselor to our Scranton team! TPals is an outpatient drug and alcohol agency that also specializes in disordered gambling, anger management and family support services. We are looking for high energy individuals with enthusiasm and a passion to help others reach their potential!
Responsibilities:•Provide drug and alcohol counseling and support to individuals, families and community.•Provide initial assessments and drug screens•Provide counseling in group setting•Timely Documentation
Job Duties:•Assist individuals in identifying their needs•Assist client in meeting all treatment requirements of care•Evaluate effectiveness and efficacy of treatment program•Developing individualized treatment plans and assessing client progress
Requirements:•Associates Degree with 2 years counseling experience •Bachelors Degree with 1 year counseling experience OR Masters Degree in Human Services or related field.•Current CAAC/CADC credential
