(Excellent Benefits and Hybrid Work from Home Options)Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting activities ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and proceduresManage accounting operations, tax, and financial reportingDirect the daily activities for GL, AP, AR, revenue, commissions, payrollManage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company, cost allocations, and other balance sheet and P&L accounts. Prepare, review and issue financial statements in accordance with US GAAPReview contracts and ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAPImplement and maintain effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, integrity of corporate data, and safeguarding of assetsManage accounting policies and procedures and lead efforts to change initiatives and process improvementsSupervise and develop a strong, performance-oriented accounting team, capable of actively and effectively engaging and growing with the businessManage local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsManage monthly financial reporting package for banking partnersManage banking, tax, audit and insurance relationshipsManage stock-based compensation and equity roll-forwardsLead annual financial audits and manage financial statement footnote disclosureEvaluate new technical accounting developments and recommend appropriate actions; drive process improvement at all levels of the organizationSupport internal operational and compliance programsSupport annual budgeting and planning processWork alongside other departments on various projects. Requirements:Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis preferred; CPA Preferred6+ years progressive experience in Accounting management rolesBig 4 public accounting experience strongly preferredExperience working with in SaaS and / or with a private technology firm. Start-up experience a plusStrong understanding of GAAP and technical accountingTrack record of building, developing and leading high performance accounting teams in a fast paced organizationAbility to work independently without considerable oversight, and to act decisivelyExperience in ERP systemsExperience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controlsExcellent collaboration and relationship-building skillsAnalytical; High attention to detail, organized with exceptional time-management skillsStrong communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organizationExperience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controls
