Position Overview:We’re seeking a Finishing Coordinator to join our Finishing team in overseeing the creation of turnover materials for external post houses by our AE team, as well as final deliverables for mixes/colors completed by our in-house online editing team. Working with the Online Editors, Finishing Design Team, AV & GFX Producers, Assistant Editors, Post Production Assistants, Music Team, and more, the Finishing Supervision team is a cross-functional, cornerstone team that ensures proper delivery of all client finishing assets.

In this role, you’ll obtain a wide range of knowledge and experience over the post production process, gaining insight into the interplaying technical aspects of a job from beginning to end, expanding your knowledge of Avid Media Composer, and most of all, learning what makes a great mix/color in a promo. This position’s promotion path can lead to various other roles in the company, the most common being, but not limited to, Finishing Supervisor & Producer’s Assistant. Finishing Coordinators are led by the Head of Finishing, and are supervised by the Head of Post Production.

Responsibilities:Delivery Coordination: Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to make sure everyone is in sync regarding finishing schedules, delivery timelines, final deliverables, and that deliverable packages get to the right place, on timeFinishing Task Delegation: Sending out finishing-based task requests to various departments, and overseeing their on-time completionQuality Control: Making sure that all outgoing deliverables are provided and packaged correctly according to client standardsApprovals & Deliverables Postings: Uploading approval/graphics checker files and deliverable packages to the proper client portals with utmost careMaintain Client Specs: Regularly collect and keep client’s new standard delivery specifications as they evolve & inform the necessary internal teams of such changesPreventative Maintenance: Anticipating client’s finishing needs prior to delivery, based on past finishes, in order to prevent finishing delaysTroubleshooting Assistance: Provide assistance in troubleshooting media issues related to prep elements and other final deliverables where possibleFinished Spot Organization & Distribution: Maintaining our finished spot libraries across both our internal storage, and online storage, as well as distributing spots to those that request them

Requirements:Be able to work full 8-10 hour days, with occasional late nights & weekend work1 year of Post Production experience preferredBasic / Intermediate experience with Avid Media ComposerBasic experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, and DaVinci is a plusSolid foundational understanding of frame rates, codecs, resolutions, and delivery specsAbility to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and assist with day-to-day project management while keeping a positive attitudePassion for the technical aspects of post productionInterest in building a career in entertainment advertising is preferred

This position is mostly remote in order to allow for more flexible work conditions. However, during the first few months of onboarding, you may be asked to come on site a day or two per week and work with individuals in person to enhance your learning experience.
