Job Description
Optomi Professional Services, partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization, is seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Azure Databricks, SSRS, and DAX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to drive business decision-making.
Responsibilities:Develop, design, and implement Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data integrity, quality, and reliability in the reporting solutions. Utilize Azure Databricks for data transformation, preprocessing, and modeling to support Power BI reports and dashboards. Design and develop SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports as needed. Write complex DAX queries and calculations to perform advanced data analysis and modeling. Optimize performance of Power BI reports and dashboards for efficient data retrieval and visualization. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability. Provide training and support to end-users on using Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power View. Experience with Azure Databricks for data preprocessing and modeling. Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report development. Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations and measures. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certification are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with other Microsoft Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Synapse Analytics. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles. Experience with Python or R for data analysis and visualization. Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
